DO I NEED R COMMANDER TO INSTALL R STUDIO SOFTWARE
Thread posted for documentation & solution.Įdit: Got the exact same issue later again where the exact same fix with the exact same hardware & software didn't work and also basically nothing I tried except for a device restart that fixed it. As before the sound also works with a 48000 Hz setting again. Dowloaded that, extracted it, ran the DXSETUP.exe installer. The solution was to install DirectX9c even though start -> run -> dxdiag states that DirectX11 is already installed.

The only thing I didn't do was to install these weird realtek drivers because my board worked without these before and these would be the wrong drivers for my board.Įssentially I had the same issue as posted here but without any of the listed things helping:Īlso found the generic technical issue thread: Videos, music, any other game, even older games like Age of Empires 2 work flawlessly, even SupCom1 works 100% fine, just FA / FAF f*cks up, solely. Sound everywhere but in FA and FAF is working fine, where it doesn't work at all. Sound issues unfixable - no sound, all of a sudden for no apparent reason. as nothing of this helped: restarted the device - result: no sound at all but only in FA / FAF while everything else worked fine unregistered and reregistered x3daudio1_2.dll and xactengine2_9.dll (start -> run -> cmd (as admin) -> regsvr32 /u filename.dll to unregister -and- regsvr32 /i filename.dll to register should already open in Window's System32 folder) renamed Game.prefs (C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Game.prefs) device manager: HD Audio disabled (start -> run -> devmgmt.msc) stereo already as audio setting (undid and redid this just to be sure) Played a scenario, mid-scenario I got the bug that some sounds would still play while others wouldn't.
